SURFSIDE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) - The Sunday morning surf from Hurricane Irma brought shell seekers to Grand Strand beaches.

Large shells have been brought to the shores of Surfside Beach by the storm and the beach re-nourishment project, which was put on hold until Hurricane Irma passes.

"I was excited when we found this one," said Tanya Ramp, holding up a large conch shell.

"At first we thought it was broken. But then we dug it out. Well, I didn't dig it out. I don't like sand, so I didn't dig it out," she said, laughing.
