Three years ago I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. I do have a history of cancer in my family but it was still a very shocking diagnosis. It was a mammogram that saved my life. At Forty I went to get my first mammogram as every woman should with no problems. By the following year they found a tumor in my left breast. I was and still am blessed with a great support system. I had great doctors who were patient and kind to both myself and my husband. I am truly humbled by the kindness of the students and staff at Conner High School, for the prayers and genuine kindness I was shown during chemo and still to this day.
